Vintage Paolo Soleri Sand Cast Bronze Cosanti Windbell, Circa 1960s/70s

Vintage Paolo Soleri Sand Cast Bronze Cosanti Windbell, Circa 1960s/70s

$998.00

Vintage Paolo Soleri Sand Cast Bronze Cosanti Windbell, Circa 1960s/70s. This particular form is quite rare. It is designed around a central hinged bell with stud-like protrusions. Brutalist in style, the patinated surface is textured to perfection in shades of rust and green. The hinge at the top leads to a triple link chain. The piece retains its original fin and is signed in the mold. Each original bell produced by Soleri is unique with no two bells being exactly the same.

Paolo Soleri was an Italian architect. He established the educational Cosanti Foundation and Arcosanti, an "urban laboratory" (so-dubbed by Ada Louise Huxtable, who at the time was the architectural critic of The NY Times) which became internationally renowned in Arizona.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Light wear and minimal scratching to fin where is connects to bell.

Size Me Up: 24 1/2” L (tip of hook to end of fin), 5 1/8” W, 3 1/2” D
